Library Square overview

Brickwork GFL Cunliffe South Elevation.The marks to the cut header bond bricks have yet to be cleaned satisfactorily. This issue was raised first on 08.08.14. This brickwork is now condemned- notice to be forwarded to HCL. Locations to be rebuilt as follows: Cunliffe GL 7/F-G, GL 7/A-B

RIW LAC being applied to New Bean LRC GFL

Concrete remedials incomplete. Possible reinforcement exposed GL D/ 2-3 soffit level

Concrete remedials incomplete. Possible reinforcement exposed column GL D/ 2-3

Scabbling incomplete. Concrete remedials carried out where concrete frame is defective and has not been addressed. Scabbling to be carried out to ensure compliance with specification tolerances. This will affect internal finishes and must be addressed now. If reinforcement is exposed this will have to be addressed. Concrete frame condemned GL D/1 adjacent BE.EW.01.04.- notice to be forwarded to HCL.

RWP outlet positions to Bean LRC roof have been relocated on site to avoid structural ties. HCL to liaise with Bower Fuller via M&E coordinator to ensure any additional bends/ pipes/ access can be accommodated within services zone.

Brickwork constructed without filling mortar between brick leafs of solid wall. Refer HRW correspondence regarding this issue which must be avoided in future and addressed in all affected areas: Brickwork GL D, Brickwork to arcade adjacent GL 1

Cunliffe brickshield. 1st course of slips now applied low level. HCL to ensure undulations of insulation etc. are taken out within laying of slips to maintain flush finish as control sample.

Additional amendments to structure may be required to existing openings where head lowered and vault reinstated. CVA/ HRW to forward details where required.

Bean roof refurb- VCL and insulation laid

Bean LRC roof- pyramids formed over steelwork to create rooflight lanterns.

HCL to address undulation in 4Bay steel to velux modular rooflight enclosure

Bauder VCL applied

Ponding to roof GL 1 may require insulation to be tapered to ensure adequate

Rooflight enclosure to seminar stair. Ply to be adjusted to ensure plane is continuous and allows for insulation to be applied without modification

Cunliffe stair walls currently under construction in blockwork

Builderswork to be adjusted locally where discrepancy with survey for height of existing beam to Cunliffe GL2-4/ D-E to wall of plantroom. CVA to instruct

Ceiling height to be adjusted to ITSS office to accommodate services where discrepancy to survey of 50mm- CVA to instruct

Bean LRC overview

Arch former to relief arch removed, infill brickwork commenced GL D

Stack bonded facing brick to parapet completed in lieu of capping GL D

Reference panel for brickshield commenced- awaiting completion/ pointing- Action HCL

East Arcade brickwork piers commenced

Seminar stair concrete- infill blockwork still required below bottom step- Action HCL

Bean structural ties to be removed for installation of airtight ceiling and drops- to be reinstated below within services zone- Action HCL

Bean roof refurb- VCL + insulation now installed- awaiting felt/ batten prior to tiling.

Cunliffe south elevation brickwork still at GFL. Lintols on site as of w/e 09.10.14. Brickwork has not been cleaned where cutting issue raised on 08.08.14 and due to be inspected on 14.08.14- Action HCL

Studwork commenced GFL. Sheetseal applied to GFL slab

studwork to stair- CVA to resolve stud discrepancy issue- Action CVA

1st layer Bauder applied to main roof deck Bean LRC. Steelwork to Modular rooflight to be adapted due to discrepancy of welded top plate. 4 Bay to attend to rectify- Action HCL
